SHOPLIFTERS

Sidewalk: women drop
Tomatoes out their linen
Bags and men drop water
Bottles on their way in
To the kebab shop, ugh,
Balkanized, captured in
A photo too native.

First minute sounds like midnight
In 1998, the next
The keyboards are too loud,
There’s bonding, home
Goods, naive neighbors,
And plum buckle.

Adore living in zipped shirts
From up north and new
Walnut hats to the west.
